Telecentric optics with liquid lenses designed for large depth of field

Sept. 22, 2021
The TCEL series can adjust focus in a few milliseconds.

TCEL lenses feature telecentric optics and electronically controlled liquid lenses to significantly increase depth of field. The driver is packaged as a compact USB-powered current source and includes free software for use as a stand-alone solution or integration into OEM designs. A simple serial communications protocol can be implemented in any Windows or Linux programming language, with C#, Labview, and Python source code available.

The lenses are available in eight different models, all designed for image sensors in 2/3-in. format and for C mount cameras. According to the manufacturer, they are ideal for inspection and measurement applications in the electronic, semiconductor, automotive, and pharmaceutical industries among others.
