CMOS Camera introduced

June 20, 2022
The Mikrotron camera is suited to inspection applications involving rapidly moving parts on a conveyor belt.

Mikrotron GmbH has introduced the EoSens® 21CXP2 camera, based on the CMOS global shutter sensor GSPRINT4521 from Gpixel. The F-mount compatible camera combines a resolution of 21 MPixels with a pixel size of 4.5 µm and enables up to 230 fps when using all 5120 x 4096 pixels. By reducing the sensor area readout, an even faster image acquisition can be realized, such as 5543 fps for images with 5120 x 128 pixels. The integrated CoaXPress 2.0 interface handles the large data volumes involved at 4x 12.5 Gbps without latency. The global shutter enables sharp imaging down to the smallest detail, even with moving objects, such as in inspection applications involving parts on a fast-moving conveyor belt. Due to the large sensor, the EoSens® 21CXP2 is suited to 3D laser profiling.
