Compact SWIR Camera Launched

Jan. 27, 2023
The camera is designed for precision in fruit inspection and sorting, packaging, IR microscopy, semiconductor inspection, and material sorting.

LUCID Vision Labs announced the availability of the Triton SWIR IP67-rated 1.3 MPixel (84.9 fps) and 0.3 MPixel (257 fps) cameras.

The Triton SWIR is a GigE Power over Ethernet (PoE) camera fitted with either the Sony SenSWIR 1.3 MP IMX990 or 0.3 MP IMX991 InGaAs CMOS sensor. It is capable of capturing images across both visible and invisible light spectrums. Features include a pixel size of 5μm, 29 x 44 mm footprint, C-mount lens mount, M12 Ethernet and M8 general purpose I/O connectors, and an ambient temperature range of -20°C to 50°C. The GenICam compliant Global Shutter cameras achieve a resolution of 1280 x 1024 for the 1.3 MPixel (TRI013S-WC) model and 640 x 512 for the 0.3 MPixel (TRI003S-WC) model.

The camera's capability of imaging on the short-wavelength infrared light spectrum is designed to provide greater precision in fruit inspection and sorting, packaging, IR microscopy, semiconductor inspection, and material sorting.

Unlike the Atlas SWIR camera, the Triton SWIR does not have a TEC cooling device, allowing it to be lower power and more compact than its sister camera.
