The camera is suited for applications with a close working distance and large area of operation, such robotic loading and unloading of pallets.

LUCID Vision Labs has released the Helios2 Wide, a 3D time of flight (ToF) camera. The camera integrates Sony’s DepthSense IMX556PLR backlit ToF image sensor paired with a wide-angle lens and four wide-angle 850 nm VCSEL laser diodes, providing a 108° FoV. It has a 640 x 480 depth resolution at up to an 8.3 m working distance and a frame rate of 30 fps. The camera supports GigE Vision 2.0 and GenICam3 interface standards. The company’s Arena SDK supports Windows, Linux 64bit, and Linux ARM operating systems, and C, C++, C# and Python programming languages. The camera is in series production.
