IDS has launched a new edge/AI industrial camera, the IDS NXT malibu. The camera, part of the IDS NXT series, is equipped with an onsemi AR0521 CMOS sensor and rolling shutter, and C-mount lens mount. It has an optical area of 5.702 x 4.277 mm, 2.20 µm pixel size, and 5.04 MPixel, 2592 x 1944 resolution. It has GigE, RJ45, screwable interface connector and is capable of interface speed up to 1.00 Gbps. It can independently perform AI-based image analyses at more than 25fps. It has a footprint of 34 x 44 x 73 mm, operating temperature range of 0°- 50°C, and is rated IP30. The camera is designed for a variety of industrial machine vision uses, including object tracking, logistics, and inspection applications.
