IDS Imaging Development Systems has developed the uEye XC with USB Video Class (UVC), a protocol for streaming video over USB. Equipped with the 13-MPixel onsemi sensor AR 1335, the camera has digital zoom, automatic white balance and color correction. It requires only a cable connection for setup and operation. It has dimensions of 32 x 61 x 19 mm. The camera has an exchangeable macro lens (an accessory) and is suitable for close-up applications, such as in medical technology or barcode identification.
