Teledyne FLIR Launches New Machine Vision Camera Series
Teledyne FLIR recently launched the Dragonfly S USB3 machine vision camera series. This new color camera, the first in the new series, has 5 MPixel, 2592 x 1944 resolution and 2.2 µm pixel size, is equipped with a rolling shutter, onsemi AR0521 CMOS sensor, and features onboard image buffering to ensure that each captured image frame is transferred to the host CPU.
The camera uses a CS-mount lens mount. It features continuous, single frame, and multi frame acquisition modes and 6MB flash memory. It has USB 3.0 interface, which is offered in side or rear orientation options, allowing for added flexibility in configuration and integration. The Dragonfly S can function as a handheld, board level, or fully enclosed embedded vision camera.
The camera is designed for a variety of machine vision functions, including automated factory/manufacturing and inspection applications.
