Featuring a 5.4-64.8-mm zoom lens, the Sony EVI-D30 CCD camera uses a 1/3-in. CCD and outputs 460 horizontal TV lines at 768 ¥ 494-pixel resolution. The camera`s automatic tracking feature incorporates a mechanism that can pan, tilt, and move the camera diagonally. Automatic tracking adjusts the zoom lens to keep a constant subject size while controlling exposure for optimum brightness. The camera has six available presets in which you can program the camera`s focus and zoom positions, exposure, gain, brightness, and white-balance settings. Presets are programmed using an IR remote or RS232C control. The camera includes connectors for S-Video and dc power, measures 142 ¥ 109 ¥ 164 mm, and weighs 1200 g. OEM pricing is less than $1000 in OEM quantities. A PAL version is also available.
