PCI frame grabber targets digital cameras
As a PCI bus master, the Data Translation DT-3157 PCI frame grabber is capable of directly transferring images to system memory or display. The DT3157 is compatible with single- and dual-channel digital cameras with image-size outputs as high as 4 Mbyte and data rates to 40 Mbyte/s. It accepts 8-, 10-, 12-, 14-, and 16-bit digital images with pixel clock rates to 20 MHz on a single channel and up to 40-MHz aggregate on dual 8-bit channels. Cameras can be connected to the frame grabber through a modified AIA 68-pin connector. For cameras that don`t use the 68-pin connector, optional interface cables can be supplied. Plug-and-play compatible, the $1495 DT3157 is supported by two software-developer kits that are DT open layers compatible.
