• Chip interfaces CCD camera to processor

Designed in conjunction with Polaroid Corp. and IBM Corp., the CS7620 analog front-end interface chip bridges the gap between a megapixel CCD camera and a back-end still camera processor. It incorporates a correlated double sampler, a DRX-enabled analog-to-digital converter, a timing generator, and two programmable digital-to-analog converters. Operational modes include snapshot mode for still pictures, preview mode for low-resolution mode, partial-master mode for vertical timing, and slave mode
