Camera on a chip debuts
Zoran Corp. (Santa Clara, CA; www.zoran.com) has released its COACH camera-on-a-chip integrated circuit. Leveraging the company`s image-compression and processing technologies, the COACH chip provides a digital still camera (DSC) with a comprehensive set of operational features for the USB bus and Windows 98/NT. Supplemented by the CAM-ON DSC feature-set reference design and CoachExpress functional camera development package, the IC speeds DSC designs to market and costs less than $25 in volume quantities.
