Driving monitors and flat panels Capable of driving RGB monitors and flat-panel displays, the PMC2 9100 PCI mezzanine card fits onto the company`s range of Power- PC-based VME boards. The PMC2 features a Weitek P9100 PCI graphics chip that supports resolutions from 640 x 480 (8 to 32 bits/pixel) to 1600 x 1280 pixels ( 8 or 16 bits/pixel). Depending on the resolution, refresh rates of up to 120 Hz are possible, and, for true color requirements (24 bit), resolutions of up to 1280 x 1024 pixels are supported at screen-refresh rates of 75 Hz. An IBM RGB528A RAMDAC generates RS343A analog video and digital signals for flat-panel displays. The board is supplied with either a 2- or 4-Mbyte frame buffer.
