Surface inspector classifies defects continuously
The SmartView Modular Camera Network detects, measures, and classifies defects on products made in a continuous process. It consists of one or more smart CCD camera units supported by camera-based inspection algorithms, Windows NT-based interface, a personal computer, a mounting frame, and lighting components. Each camera connects to its own CPU and image-processing electronics, and can be moved, added, or deleted from a plantwide multiview, multiline inspection network. Defects de tected include foreign matter, stains, coating voids, pin holes, and other extraneous imperfections for continuous web products such as paper, plastics, metals, and nonwovens.
