PCI card combines functions
To simultaneously acquire and display images without impacting the host PCI bus, the FG-A-PCI autonomous imaging subsystem incorporates a color frame grabber and an accelerated display controller on a single card. The frame grabber can capture RGB, RS-170, NTSC, PAL, or S-video signals, while graphics capability supports graphic functions, textures, and nondestructive overlays. The display controller provides SVGA outputs at up to 1280 ¥ 1024 resolution at 72 Hz. Structured as a half-sized PCI bus master, the card handles a burst data-transfer rate of 132 Mbyte/s.
