Color camera focuses on digital imaging

Sept. 1, 1998
The $1470 S7030 and $1935 S7031 series of CCD area image sensors use binning operation for fluorescence and Raman spectrometry, optical and spectrophotometric analysis, and other low-light-detection applications. The S7030 is uncooled, the S7031 uses thermoelectric cooling, and both FFT sensors contain 24 ¥ 24-µm pixels. Quantum efficiency exceeds 90%, and the spectral response range covers 200 to 1100 nm. The dynamic range is 75,000 in line-binning mode and 37,500 in area-scanning mode.
