The Viper-RGB color/monochrome frame grabber can be used for host-based or embedded processing on the company`s Cobra/C6 and Python/C6 imaging accelerators. Containing an i960 embedded controller, it digitizes 10-bit data at rates to 40 MHz. The controller manages data flow between the acquisition subsystem, auxiliary bus and secondary PCI bus, and controls event-driven captures and sequential grabs from multiple or dual-tap cameras.
