Camera digitizes video data
The WiTCAM video camera digitizes video data immediately in the camera head and transports the data digitally to a PCI-compliant interface card. The interface card streams digital video to PC memory without the need for a frame grabber. A monochrome, 768 ¥ 576-square-pixel CCD camera, it delivers images at 25 frames/s to host memory and provides software-controllable capture and processing parameters such as electronic shutter speed, gain and offset controls, and frame or field-mode acquisition. It accepts standard C-mount lenses, uses a single cable to carry digital video, power, and control signals to standard PCs, and integrates the company`s WiT visual programming software. Price is $800.
