Machine-vision system comes compact
The miniature F30 machine-vision system incorporates a camera, lighting, and processor into a 3 ¥ 3 ¥ 6-in. assembly that weighs less than 1 lb. It suits basic inspection applications such as presence/ab sence, orientation, parts sorting, and foreign material detection. An interconnected five-button keypad and display monitor are used to program the system in minutes. Other features include an adjustable shutter speed of 1/60 to 1/4000 s, 2 ¥ 2-in. visual field, 4- to 5-in. sensing distance, 12-V power supply, one trigger input, three outputs (high, okay, and low), and one control gate.
