Here is a roundup of some recently-released imaging and machine vision products from some of the leading companies in the industry. New products include high-speed cameras, embedded systems, barcode readers, and a 29 MPixel CCD camera.

High-speed camera from Photron

Featuring a 1 MPixel, 12-bit global electronic shutter CMOS image sensor with a 20 µm pixel size, the FASTCAM Mini AX50 GigE camera (above) from Photron is able to achieve frame rates up to 2,000 fps in industrial, military, and laboratory applications.

Embedded systems from Vecow

Powered by Quad Core Intel Core i7/i5/i3 processors, the IVH-7700 Series of fanless embedded systems feature GigE and USB 3.0 connections and target such applications as in-vehicle surveillance, traffic safety, intelligent transportation, mobile NVR, and intelligent surveillance applications.

Rugged daylight camera from Adimec

The TMX74 from Adimec features Sony’s IMX 174 sensor, which is a global shutter CMOS image sensor with a 5.86 µm pixel size that can achieve frame rates up to 60 fps. The camera, which is available in color and mono, also features a dynamic range of 74 dB, a Camera Link interface, a rugged design, and image enhancement functions such as contrast enhancement

Industrial PoE+ managed Ethernet switches from Antaira Technologies

Antaira Technologies has announced the release of the LMP-1002G-SFP and LMP-1002G-SFP-24 series industrial PoE+ full gigabit managed Ethernet switches. The 10-port switches feature 48~55VDC high power input (LMP-1002C-SFP) support and a 12~36VDC low voltage power input with a built-in voltage booster (LMP-1002C-SFP-24).

29 MPixel Camera Link CCD camera from ISVI Corp.

ISVI Corp’s IC-M29S-CLCamera Link industrial camera features a CCD image sensor and achieves a frame rate of 4.45 fps. The CCD is a 29 MPixel ON Semiconductor KAI-29050 image sensor that has a 5.5 µm pixel size and features 8/10/12-bit monochrome output.

MicroHAWK compact barcode readers from Microscan

Microscan’s new MicroHAWK barcode readers are available in three models: The ID-20 (USB 2.0 Ethernet over USB), ID-30 (RS-232, USB 2.0 Ethernet over USB), and ID-40 (RS-232, Ethernet TCP/IP, EtherNet/IP). The readers feature an option of 0.34 MPixel, 1.2 MPixel, or 5 MPixel CMOS image sensors, which feature frame rates of up to 60 fps, 42 fps, and 5 fps, respectively. The imagers feature (1D) Plus (1D/2D) and X-Mode (poor or damaged) decoding.
