Following extensive field testing and integration into multiple machine vision and medical imaging applications, the SAPPHIRE S-25A70/CXP industrial camera from Adimec is now in volume production and commercially available. The S-25A70/CXP features a 25 MPixel Vita 25k CMOS image sensor from ON Semiconductor that has a 4.5 µm pixel size and a dynamic range of 52 dB and can reach frame rates of 73 fps. Available in monochrome or color, the camera is equipped with the the CoaXPress V1.1 Quad interface (4 x CXP-6) utilizing Adimec’s new 2 Gigapixels/s camera platform. Additionally, the camera features a defect pixel correction algorithm that maintains high image uniformity even with a high number of defect pixels that are more common in these kinds of sensors. S-25A70 cameras are suitable for use in such automated inspection applications as semiconductor and electronics manufacturing and flat panel displays.
