Imaging and machine vision product roundup: 10/16
Here is a roundup of some recently-released imaging and machine vision products from some of the leading companies in the industry. New products include a 3D sensor, a PCIe board, lenses and lighting, an industrial robot, and a smart infrared camera.
3D smart snapshot sensor from LMI Technologies
Adding to its line of Gocator 3100 3D snapshot sensors, LMI Technologies has announced the release of the Gocator 3109 3D Smart Snapshot Sensor (pictured above). The Gocator 3109 is a stereo snapshot sensor that delivers 3D point cloud acquisition, measurements, and control decision capabilities in a single device. The device features dual image sensors, blue LED lighting, GigE interface, and a 86 x 67mm to 88 x 93m field of view.
PCI Express video acquisition and compression board from Enciris Technologies
The LT-124-PCIE real-time PCI Express video acquisition and compression board alleviates your PC’s CPU by transferring the massive computational requirements of HD compression to a specialized dedicated on-board processor. Multiple configurations are available including single channel H.264 compression, dual channel H.264 compression, single channel VC-1 compression, dual channel VC-1 compression, and 3D capture and mixing.
CORE series of telecentric lenses and illuminators from Opto Engineering
Opto Engineering will launch its CORE series of telecentric lenses and illuminators at SPS IPC Drives from November 24-26 in Nuremburg, Germany. New products include bi-telecentric lenses, compact telecentric lenses and illuminators, and complete optical systems.
Six-axis articulated robots from Adept Technology target industrial automation
Adept Technology has introduced two new models to its Viper family of six-axis articulated robots—the Viper 700 and Viper 900—which are designed for such industrial automation applications as assembly and packaging. The robots feature a maximum reach of 723 mm and 912 mm, respectively, and are optionally available with Adept’s SmartVision MX vision processing platform and industrial cameras for machine vision and guidance
Smart infrared camera introduced by EVT
Eye Vision Technology (EVT) has released the EyeCheck Thermo smart camera, which is based on the camera technology of the SAITIS-640 infrared camera from DST CONTROL, and software from EVT. The infrared camera features a 640 x 480 (or 320 x 240) uncooled microbolometer LWIR array with a spectral band of 8 to 14 µm, as well as a programmable Xilinx Zynq Raze1-30 FPGA.
