"We are placing special focus on the areas of 3D measurement and customer-specific OEM product solutions, here we are looking to increase our worldwide market penetration," said new COO Rüdiger Ruh.
Each unit of the business—including positioning lasers, imaging lasers, laser projectors, OEM, and trade goods—saw a positive growth rate in 2014. Investments in modern technology and automated production systems will result in even more precision and repeatability in future Z-LASER products, according to the company.
Ruh, the company’s new COO, studied precision engineering at the Furtwangen University and started his career as a development engineer in the field of optical sensor technology. Most recently, he was managing director of a mid-sized technology company that was also a Z-LASER partern.
"With the appointment of Mr. Ruh, the company becomes younger and will get a new structure, which is necessary due to the fast and successful growth of the company," said Zimmermann.
