Lambda launches latest version of TracePro illumination and optical design software

Lambda Research Corporation has announced the release of version 7.6 of its flagship TracePro software, which enables illumination and optical modeling, design, and analysis. New features in TracePro v7.6 include:

• The ability to create repetitive features on curved surfaces. This new feature enables the modeling of curved displays, especially ones using scattering features.
• New diffuser catalogs. The BrightView and Bayer Makrolon diffuser sheet catalogs are now available as surface property catalogs in the v7.6 optical properties database.
• New macro editor. A new scheme macro editor has been added, Notepad++, to provide users with an editing component.
• Simplified menu structure, which broadens the program’s capabilities by moving utilities into the correct menu placements.
