MARCH 25--QImaging (Burnaby, B.C., Canada) has released a LabVIEW (National Instruments) interface for its line of high-performance digital FireWire IEEE 1394 CCD cameras. The interface allows QImaging cameras to be used in the LabVIEW graphical development environment for machine vision and scientific imaging applications.

The QImaging interface works with LabVIEW 6 and greater and with Windows 98/ME/2000/XP-Professional and requires QImaging camera drivers version 1.52 or later. The interface, which currently works with its monochrome cameras, can be accessed at no charge from the company's Web site: www.qimaging.com.

QImaging cameras are all IEEE 1394 interfaced for simple connectivity, portability, and control of multiple cameras from one controller.
