Linescan cameras offer a range of resolutions

AUGUST 5--Vision Systems Engineering (VSE; Bellevue, WA; www.vseltd.com) has introduced its CMV series of linescan cameras with resolutions ranging from 1024 to 5120 pixels. The CMV 1000 camera features a 1024-pixel resolution and a speed of 2000 line-pairs/s; CMV 2000 camera offers a resolution of 2048 pixels and a speed of 5000 line-pairs/s; and the CMV 5000 camera comes with a 5120-pixel sensor and a speed of more than 7000 line-pairs/s. USB 2.0 interfaces are available.

To support the cameras, the company offers its InteliCount areascan camera software that features a point-and-click interface for developers. The software features multiple area tools that include circles, annuli, and rectangles, and includes line and locating tools and edge detection and width measurements.

VSE also offers backlights ranging from 30 mm x 30mm with 36 LEDs to 120 mm x 120 mm with 576 LEDs, and ring lights from 38 mm to 140 mm in diameter. Other LED products include dome lights, floodlights, and on-axis illuminators.
