JANUARY 18--InVision Technologies Inc. (Newark, CA; www.invision-tech.com) has received a follow-on purchase order for multiple explosives-detection systems (EDSs) for approximately $9 million from Aeroports de Paris (ADP) under a master contract signed in November 2001. InVision expects to record revenues from this order during the first, second, and third quarters of this year.

ADP operates the Charles de Gaulle and the Orly International Airports in the French capital. Installations are planned at both locations.

Also, InVision has executed service contracts with ADP, which, with renewals, could cover its EDS equipment for up to three years.

"We are pleased that ADP continues to move ahead aggressively with our systems to provide baggage screening at the Parisian airports," said Sergio Magistri, president and CEO of InVision. "We believe the European Civil Aviation Commission goal for implementation of 100% screening of hold-checked baggage by the end of 2002 is an important consideration for our French partners and others in Europe."
