Optronics announces distribution and development agreement with Jenoptik

NOVEMBER 4--Optronics (Santa Barbara, CA), a developer of easy-to-use high-performance digital cameras for the microscopy market, has announced a reciprocal distribution and development agreement with Jenoptik Laser, Optik System GmbH.

NOVEMBER 4--Optronics (Santa Barbara, CA), a developer of easy-to-use high-performance digital cameras for the microscopy market, has announced a reciprocal distribution and development agreement with Jenoptik Laser, Optik System GmbH. Through its distribution channel ImagingPlanet, Optronics will distribute select Jenoptik imaging products through a highly qualified dealer network in the United States and Canada. Jenoptik will become the exclusive distributor for Optronics products in Europe. Jenoptik is in the process of developing its own sales and marketing channel, using the ImagingPlanet name from Optronics.

Development efforts will include sharing hardware, software, and technology resources to broaden product lines for both companies. The industrial and scientific imaging products are available online at imagingplanet.com.

ImagingPlanet will feature Jenoptik cameras and Jenoptik will feature Optronics products in their respective booths at the upcoming Neuroscience meeting in Orlando, FL, and at the 42nd Annual American Society of Cell Biology meeting, December 14--18, 2002, at the Moscone Center in San Francisco, CA.
