Expanding on its line of high-speed cameras, iX Cameras has announced the release of the i-SPEED 2 Series, which are available in four models: 210, 211, 220, and 221. Both the 210 and 211 cameras feature a 1280 x 1024 global electronic shutter CMOS image sensor with a 14 µm pixel size and 10-bit depth that can achieve frame rates up to 79,500 fps. The 220 and 221 models feature a 1600 x 1600 global electronic shutter CMOS image sensor with an 8 µm pixel size and 8-bit depth that can achieve frame rates up to 204,100 fps. The 211 and 221 models (pictured) feature a battery that has a 1 hr. recording time and 1.5 hour standby time. All of the new i-SPEED 2 high speed cameras are available in color or monochrome versions and target such applications as machine vision, robotics, microscopy, 3D bio-mechanics, and research and development.
