TheAIA has announced a call for companies utlizing vision and imaging technologies to enter a startup competition at TheVision Show in Boston from May 3-5.
Companies interested in competing for the $10,000 grand prize should be utilizingvision and imaging in innovative ways. The competition is seeking out startups to generate awareness of their unique solutions.
"We recognize the critical role of startups in driving innovation and bringing forth new technologies to foster continued growth in the vision and imaging industry," said Jeff Burnstein, President of AIA. "We encourage them to take advantage of this opportunity to spread awareness and take their company to the next level."
Eight semi-finalists, which will be given booth space on the show floor, will have five minutes to pitch their technology to a panel of investors and vision experts. In addition to leveraging vision and imaging products, companies should have been around for five years or less, raised less than $2 million since launching, and not be affiliated with a larger group.
