MARCH 31--Sharp Systems of America, a division of Sharp Electronics Corporation (Huntington Beach, CA; www.sharpsystems.com), has released the LL-T19D1 LCD monitor. Equipped with a high-performance TFT LCD, the Sharp LL-T19D1 is a high-resolution 19-in. SXGA (1280 x 1024 pixel) monitor that achieves a contrast ratio of 700:1. With a brightness of 300 nits and display area that is comparable in size to that of a 21-in. CRT, the Sharp LL-T19D1 provides users with a large screen capable of viewing the most detailed computer-aided-design images, as well as general-purpose applications like spreadsheets.

The Sharp LL-T19D1 comes equipped with both analog and digital interfaces. Complete with dual analog RGB inputs and a digital DVI-D input, the Sharp LL-T19D1 can accept inputs from up to three different computers. It provides settings that can be switched to meet the user's viewing preferences. Office mode lowers the brightness of the unit while reducing power consumption to 25 W. Vivid mode enables optimal viewing for primary dynamic colors, and Standard mode restores the display to the original scheme of liquid crystal panels. In addition, the swing-top design enables the user to adjust the height and screen tilt of the Sharp LL-T19D1.
