AUGUST 22--The UK Industrial Vision Association (UKIVA; www.ukiva.org) will be hosting two days of free technical seminars at the forthcoming new Imaging Science section of Photonex 03 (October 8--9; Stoneleigh Park, Warwickshire, UK; www.photonex2003.co.uk) as part of its sponsorship of this new event. With different programs on each day of the show, the aim is to keep visitors up to date with the latest in imaging technology.

Although entrance to the seminars is free, places are limited, so preregistration is strongly recommended. This will not only guarantee entry but also will ensure registrants collect their copies of the presentations on CD-ROM on the day.

UKIVA director Don Braggins commented: "Developments in sensor and camera technology feature strongly in the technical program and include the evolution of intelligent cameras (complete vision systems in a single enclosure) and CMOS color image sensors. The seminars will be delivered by experts from among our membership."

The UKIVA will also have a stand at the show, where visitors can receive impartial advice about industrial vision topics and where companies can find out about the benefits of membership.
