Richter Enterprises to cease operation

JULY 2--After nearly 20 years as a manufacturer's representative and imaging consultant, Thomas A. Richter announces the retirement of Richter Enterprises (Livingston, TX; www.richter-enterprises.com) effective 31 August 2003.

JULY 2--After nearly 20 years as a manufacturer's representative and imaging consultant, Thomas A. Richter announces the retirement of Richter Enterprises (Livingston, TX; www.richter-enterprises.com) effective 31 August 2003. Launched in 1984, Richter Enterprises has represented numerous electro-optics and imaging corporations to military, aerospace corporation, university, laboratory, and industrial operations. Among those represented were Thomson CSF, Mitsubishi Electronics of America, Janos, Evaporative Coatings, Adaptive Optics Associates, Diamond Electro-Optics, Resonance Lamps, Tayside Optical Technologies, Rodenstock, and Germanow-Simon.

Prior to founding Richter Enterprises, Richter was employed by OCLI, Optical Radiation Corp., Exotic Materials, and Magnum Technology for a total of 34 years in the electro-optics industry. He is a past president of the Optical Society of Southern California and holds three patents in electro-optical design.

For the past 12 years, Richter has represented and guided Optec, the Italian lens and prism manufacturer, in development of its family of multispectral cameras and NIR lenses.
