    MAY 6--JAI A/S (Glostrup, Denmark; www.jai.com) has completed the transaction to acquire PULNiX America Inc. (Sunnyvale CA; www.pulnix.com) for an undisclosed amount.

    MAY 6--JAI A/S (Glostrup, Denmark;www.jai.com) has completed the transaction to acquire PULNiX America Inc. (Sunnyvale CA;www.pulnix.com) for an undisclosed amount. The purchase includes intellectual property, technology, assets, product lines, and employees. The purchase also includes the activities of the regional sales and support offices in Japan.

    The acquisition will exploit the synergies of JAI's and PULNiX's existing camera platforms, as well as the ITS activities of JAI Systems division. It will extend and strengthen the traditional position of JAI in North America and of PULNiX internationally. The united R&D forces promise to further strengthen their future competitive positions.

    PULNiX America will remain in Sunnyvale and is cooperating to create a smooth transition for partners and customers. The PULNiX brand and the JAI brand will continue their businesses in parallel in all markets.
