FEBRUARY 25--ipd (Billerica, MA; www.goipd.com), the intelligent products division of Coreco Imaging Inc., is developing, manufacturing, and marketing new products for the NetSight line of integrated machine-vision systems. NetSight was designed to alleviate the end user's need to source and combine the components required for a machine-vision solution. The line was previously carried by ipd's parent company, Coreco Imaging.

The pre-integrated NetSight systems combine a powerful processing engine with a high-performance camera interface, flexible software tools, and industrial communications within a small, robust package. To shorten the user's development time, NetSight ships with ipd's Sherlock software environment. This easy-to-use graphical interface enables nonprogrammers to quickly develop vision applications. And, for integrators designing custom software interfaces, NetSight also provides an extensive library of machine-vision and pattern-matching tools.

The NetSight systems support many types of camera models, ranging from VGA to megapixel resolution, allowing users to choose the best camera for each application. The systems are wired with industrial interface controls, including isolated I/Os, trigger, illumination control, Ethernet, and serial ports.

NetSight is available with a choice of interfaces to support a multitude of cameras, including analog, LVDS/RS422, and Camera Link.
