Edmund Optics has released a new offering of zinc selenide plan-convex (PCX) lenses which will be available in diameters of 12.7, 25.4 and 50.8mm with a variety of focal lengths in both uncoated and 8-12μm anti-reflection coated models. The anti-reflection coating is optimized to have less than 0.5% reflection from 7.5 µm – 13.5 µm. PCX lenses also offer a usable transmission range of 600nm to 16 µm with low dispersion. These lenses are suitable for use in high-power laser applications, thermal imaging, and medical system applications.
