Compact global shutter camera aids machine vision applications

PixeLINK’s new PL-C722 series are 2.3 megapixel compact cameras with 1920 x 1200 pixels capable of running at 17 fps at full resolution.

PixeLINK’s new PL-C722 series are 2.3 megapixel compact cameras with 1920 x 1200 pixels capable of running at 17 fps at full resolution. The PL-C722 series features an ONSemi CMOS sensor with a 2/3” optical format, built-in image processing capabilities, and have a choice of either 8-bit or 10-bit digitization. It also comes with external trigger hardware and two general-purpose outputs. In addition, the PL-C722 cameras come with a software development kit that uses a common API for all cameras regardless of the chosen interface. The cameras are reportedly well-suited for use in applications such as parts inspection, metrology, medical devices, welding inspection, PCB inspection, security, and surveillance.
