Vanguard infrared cameras from Rugged Cam are built in newly designed, weatherproof, waterproof bullet camera housing that prevents against moisture and dust, and are heated to withstand environments down to -40º below zero. The first camera built in this new housing is the Vanguard-700, which is a 700 TV Line camera that provides a 16:9 format picture that is 960 horizontal lines wide. It features a 1/3 inch Sony 960H Exview HAD CCD II image sensor and 1020 x 508 pixels. The next camera built in the housing is the Vanguard HD, which is a 2.2 Mpixel HD-SDI security camera that delivers video at 1080p or 720p. The Vanguard HD features 2010 x 1108 pixels and a 3.5 – 16mm lens.
