Dual sensor heads in EVT smart camera support 3-D imaging applications

April 10, 2013
EVT's dual-head EyeSpector 810D smart camera is based on the ES810 camera model and employs EyeVision image-processing software.

The dual-head EyeSpector 810D smart camera is based on the ES810 camera model and employs EyeVision image-processing software. The two sensor heads, which measure 22 x 22 x 22.5 mm, enable 3-D and alignment applications (such as by registration marks). Users can select functions such as for measurement and inspection, pattern-matching tools, and object detection, and compile inspection programs via drag-and-drop operator interface. A global-shutter CMOS sensor achieves 60 frames/sec image capture with resolution of 752 x 480 pixels, which are transferred via Ethernet interface or optional RS-232 interface.

NEW PRODUCT PRESS RELEASE

The Two-Headed

the EyeSpector 810D dual head smart camera

EVT shows brains and presents the Two-Headed - a smart camera with two sensor heads. The EyeSpector 810D (dual head) is based on the successful ES810 camera model and combines a powerful camera with the well-proven EyeVision image processing software. The two sensor heads offer various application possibilities, due to the extensive command set of the EyeVision software. Therefore the user can select between commands for e.g. measurement and inspection technology, tools for pattern matching, object detection or 3D applications. The user then can compile inspection programs via drag-and-drop programming.

The ES810D offers the user 32 MB Flash and 128 MB DDR-RAM memory. Additionally the camera is extremely fast and powerful with a computing power of 5.600 MIPS. With the trigger-input of the camera, a precise and synchronous image capture is guaranteed.

The two sensor heads, which only measure 22 x 22 x 22,5 mm, are especially suitable for 3D and alignment applications such as e.g. the alignment of pressure discs via register marks, where measurements, which are accurate to the nearest millimeter and a limited weight are essential.

The EyeSpector 810D is equipped with a Ethernet interface and optionally also with a RS232 interface. The image capture is carried out by a Global-Shutter-CMOS sensor and with a frame rate of 60 images per second, images with a resolution of 752 x 480 pixel can be captured.

The two sensor heads are connected to the processor unit with connectors with small diameters and the standard cable length is 3 meters (but longer cables are available on request).
