IDS Imaging has launched 24 versions of its Ensenso compact stereo 3Dcamera portfolio, which now includes focal lengths from 3.6 mm to 16 mm. The cameras come with free software that reportedly allows them to integrate Ensenso cameras into any application program, including the ability to combine multiple Ensenso cameras or calibrate them with other IDS UEye color cameras to provide color texture to the rendered projection. They come equipped with two global shutter CMOS sensors and an integrated projector to achieve "Projected Texture Stereo Vision" to capture untextured surfaces. Ensenso cameras are designed to capture stationary objects and live images of moving objects.
