An ATEX-certified explosion-proof enclosure allows FLIR’s uncooled infrared SC- and A-Seriescameras to be installed in explosion protection zones 1, 2, 21 and 22. The certification comprises the whole system which includes the enclosure and all its components, including the camera, heater and interface controller. The controller is equipped with two LWL- and two Ethernet connections, enabling the system to be integrated into star and ring networks. It also features several digital I/O channels and sensors for temperature, humidity and pressure. Among other functions, the I/O channels allow the camera and the heater to be switched on and off by remote control. Access is via an integrated web interface or Modbus TCP/IP.
