MARCH 18, 2008--AMS Technologies (Martinsried, Germany; www.ams.de), a Pan-European distributor of high-tech components and systems, and Enfis, a British manufacturer of semiconductor-based light source modules and systems (www.enfis.com), have signed a distribution agreement for all EC countries. The agreement comprises intelligent, high-power light-emitting diode (LED) arrays and smart light engines across a wide range of wavelengths.

Founded in 2001 as a spin-out from Swansea University, which has a history of innovation in the handling of power devices and the thermal management of semiconductor devices, Enfis uses the latest advances in semiconductor optoelectronic device fabrication, thermal management and optical design technologies. Enfis product lines combine the numerous advantages of LEDs as a light source with a patent-pending thermal-management technology for use in a number of applications, including medical and dental applications, industrial and aerospace lighting, entertainment lighting, architectural lighting, projection and LCD, sensing and curing. Enfis achieved ISO9001:2000 accreditation during 2004 and ISO13485:2003.
