CMOS camera runs up to 20 frames/s at full resolution

Sept. 23, 2008
The EHD-SI4000 MegaCamera is an all-digital CMOS camera that delivers 4.2-Mpixel resolution and can run up to 20 frames/s at full 2048 x 2048 resolution and more than 1500 frames/s at 320 x 240 resolution.

The EHD-SI4000 MegaCamera is an all-digital CMOS camera that delivers 4.2-Mpixel resolution and can run up to 20 frames/s at full 2048 x 2048 resolution and more than 1500 frames/s at 320 x 240 resolution. Its 12-µm2, six-transistor pixel architecture enables full-frame stop-action snapshot shutter with readout for continuous video modes. A fill factor of 60% yields a QE greater than 60% between 500 and 700 nm with a dynamic range of 2000:1 (66 dB). The 24.6 x 24.6-mm imaging area can be covered using F-Mount optics. A low-latency TTL or CC-1 trigger rapidly initiates an exposure cycle with 2-ns precision. Camera is fully supported by Epix frame grabber and software.

PRESS RELEASE

Press Release, Damme 29.08.08.

EHD-SI4000, Large Area 2048x2048 pixel CMOS Camera

The EHD-SI4000 MegaCamera is an all-digital CMOS Camera that delivers 4.2 Million pixels of resolution and is capable of running at up to 20 frames/sec at its full 2048x2048 resolution and over 1500 frames per second at 320x240 resolution. Its 12µm square, 6-Transistor pixel architecture enables full frame stop-action snapshot shutter with readout for continuous video modes. With a fill-factor of 60% yields a QE greater than 60% between 500 and 700nm with a dynamic range of 2000:1 (66dB). The 24.6x24.6mm imaging area can be covered using F-Mount optics.

2-nsec Triggered Snapshot Shutter - Motion Stop
Capture stop action images of high-speed objects with the EHD-SI4000 electronic global shutter, full frame snapshot capability. A low latency TTL or CC-1 trigger rapidly initiates an exposure cycle with 2ns precision. Its High-Efficiency Shutter ensures a maximum parasitic sensitivity of 1/5000, to minimizing the effect of strong ambient lighting on an exposed image during its readout cycle.

The camera is fully supported by Epix Framegrabber and Software.
