SEPTEMBER 22, 2008--Machine-vision specialist in-situ (Munich, Germany; www.in-situ.de) has taken another step forward in its partnership with Cognex (Natick, MA; www.cognex.com) by signing a Partner System Integrator (PSI) contract.
"We've been working for more than 8 years with Cognex vision sensors, and by signing this contract the collaboration has taken on a new dimension. We want to rely on the stability of Cognex systems in the long term, and thereby combine our long-lasting experience in machine vision with well-engineered hardware and stable algorithms. We provide complete solutions based on a perfect hardware foundation," says Rainer Obergrußberger, managing director of in-situ.
in-situ has integrated InSight smart cameras into applications in a range of industries, and also recently selected the Cognex PC platform "Vision Pro" to enhance its product range.
in-situ will be exhibiting at the Vision Trade Fair, Nov. 4-11, 2008, at the Stuttgart Exhibition Center, Hall 6, booth C30.
