DECEMBER 24, 2008--LeanXcam is an intelligent color camera that combines a CMOS sensor, 500-MHz Blackfin ADSP-BF537 digital signal processor, tailored Linux-based operating system, and OSCAR image-processing framework.

DECEMBER 24, 2008--LeanXcam is an intelligent color camera that combines a CMOS sensor, 500-MHz Blackfin ADSP-BF537 digital signal processor, tailored Linux-based operating system, and OSCAR image-processing framework. Memory includes 54-Mbyte internal SDRAM and 2 x 4 Mbyte flash; microSD cards up to 2 Gbytes are optional. Resolutions is Wide-VGA 752(H) x 480(V), 10 bits/pixel; at full resolution frame rate is 60 frames/s. Communications are performed via Ethernet connection and digital I/Os. Development environment, schematics layout, and entire framework are distributed under open-source license and therefore free of charge.
