PRESS RELEASE

DALSA Expands Spyder3 Camera Family to 4K Resolution

Higher Resolution Covers Larger Field of View and Reduces System Costs
Spyder3 4K Showcased at The Vision Show, June 10-12 in Boston

BOSTON - The Vision Show - Booth #313 - June 10, 2008 - DALSA Corporation [TSX: DSA], a global leader in machine vision technology, today demonstrated the Spyder3 4K camera here at The Vision Show at the DALSA booth (#313). The camera has a new, higher 4K resolution, which offers a larger field of view (FOV) and reduces system costs because fewer cameras are needed for a vision system. The Spyder3 product family uses DALSA's patented dual line scan sensor technology which provides better responsivity, ease of use, and cost-effective solutions for many applications. Since its release, the Spyder3 camera has become one of the most successful imaging products in the marketplace. The camera is particularly well-suited for film, glass, 100% print & web inspection, as well as other general machine vision applications.

"With the introduction of the Spyder3 4K camera, DALSA is expanding its dual line scan product family to higher resolution. Our customers now have more choices for high speed applications while reducing their system costs," said Xing-Fei He, senior product manager at DALSA.
DALSA's Spyder3 line scan camera surpasses its predecessor, the Spyder 2, with three times more responsivity and twice the speed, without impacting noise levels. The camera's responsivity is particularly important in low lighting situations. The Spyder3 now offers 1k, 2k, and 4k resolutions with a 14x14um or 10x10 um pixel size.

Key features and benefits include:
* High resolution; 4096x2 pixels resolution with 10x10 um pixel size
* High throughput; 80 Mpixels/s throughput, 18kHz line rate
* Excellent responsivity;1300 DN/nj/cm2 responsivity@0dB
* Choice of interface; currently offers CameraLink interface, GigE to follow soon
* Easy to use
* Cost-effective
