Mikrop expands optomechanical capabilities

JULY 28, 2008--Mikrop (Wittenback, Switzerland; www.mikrop.ch)--a producer of miniature optical components, including singlets, achromats, and objective lenses--has expanded its range of services to include development, manufacture, and assembly of optomechanical components. Wolfgang Braxmaier has been named director of the new department. The company provides miniaturization technologies for endoscope optics and fields such as the automotive industry, dental cameras, simulated vision, quality control, and telecommunications.
