Phantom V12 digital camera can record 1 million pictures per second with a specially designed 1280 × 800 high definition CMOS sensor built specifically for high-speed imaging applications. The camera features an active pixel size of 20 µm coupled with improved quantum efficiency and submicrosecond shuttering down to 300 ns (optional). Eight gigabytes of high-speed dynamic RAM comes standard.

Eight gigabytes of high-speed dynamic RAM comes standard, with the option to upgrade to 16 or 32 Gbytes. To view recordings immediately, the Phantom V12 has a video-out port that users can connect to a component video monitor. Recordings can be displayed in NTSC, PAL, SDI, and high-definition 720p.
