FEBRUARY 29, 2008--In November 2007, more than 6100 visitors, up 16%, obtained information about technology innovations at VISION 2007, the international trade fair for machine vision and identification technologies, held in the new Stuttgart Trade Fair Centre. The number of exhibitors was 282, 31% more than in 2006.

For VISION 2008, two big halls, halls 4 and 6, each 10,000 m², will be opened from 4 to 6 November 2008. "Thus, the exhibitors now have 25% more area," said Sandy Zorn, team leader. In addition to complete systems, components such as cameras, LEDs, optics, frame grabbers, processors, and software will be exhibited.

Industrial associations, such as Machine Vision of the German Engineering Federation (VDMA), are supporters of VISION, in addition to the trade fair partners European Machine Vision Association and the Automated Imaging Association.

At VISION 2008 Industrial VISION Days will offer valuable additional knowledge as industry insiders from companies, institutes, and other research institutes present their latest findings and experiences. Moreover, this year the VISION Award will be presented for the 16th time for innovations in the machine-vision industry. All companies, universities, and institutes that have developed new machine-vision solutions are eligible to participate.
