As the North American and global machine vision industry grows, so does the need to stay abreast of the latest technologies, innovations, products, and applications. The AIA’s biannual Vision Show will once again provide a platform for this, as attendees will have the opportunity to meet and interact with representatives from more than 118 global manufacturers and suppliers of machine vision and imaging technologies from April 15-17 in Boston
A recent report indicates that sales of machine vision components and systems in North America grew more than 9% in 2013, which is more than double the amount that the AIA had initially forecasted. The term "total sales," encompasses the sales of machine vision components and vision systems, which include application-specific systems and smart cameras. Sales of machine vision systems were the major driver of growth in overall sales for the year, having grown at 11%. With numbers like these representing the growing nature of the vision industry, conferences like the AIA Vision Show tradeshow and conference are useful when it comes to keeping well-informed of the latest developments.
The Vision Show’s conference will feature tutorials and sessions designed to help end users implement vision across a multitude of industries. The conference also offers basic and advanced Certified Vision Professional certification. Session topics include:
- Fundamentals of machine vision
- Machine vision lighting and optics
- 3D vision
- System integration
- Medical imaging
- Non-visible /infrared imaging
- Software / algorithms
- Cameras and image sensors
- Life sciences imaging
- Vision guided robotics
- Color imaging
