Resolve Optics has announced the release of its model 192 non-browning 6Xzoom lens, which is designed to operate in areas subject to radiation. These compact lenses support 1/2" and 2/3” CCD image sensor formats, C-Mount lens mount, and also feature zoom, focus, and iris control capabilities. Special glass that can withstand long-term exposure to radiation up to a dose of 100 million radians and temperatures to 131°F without discoloration were used in the design of the lenses. Operating at f/1.8, the lenses provide minimum geometric distortion from 400 to 750 nm and can image objects from 800 mm to infinity without using add-on adapters. The model 192 lenses are suitable for use in agriculture, archaeology (carbon dating), food (irradiation), space exploration, law enforcement, geology, and nuclear power stations or plant applications.
